Lights.. Camera.. Wedding!

Kim and Ben (see previous post) had the most unique wedding I have ever attended. It was so much fun! The wedding ceremony took place in the old Asheville movie theater and guests got to pick up popcorn and drinks for the ceremony. (Um, amazing.) They had "movie trivia" beforehand on the screen and then some "trailers" that they created. The ceremony was very sweet and heartfelt, along with a ceremonial drinking of some coke and rum (she's the rum, he's the coke), and the telling of their love story along with cues for the audience ("Ooh" and "Aah"). Then it was on to the reception with delicious food and fun dancing. I loved all the details throughout the day, that I'll show here--from the marquee with their names to the fun photo candy bars. Kim & Ben

A few weekends ago I had the marvelous opportunity to shoot another wedding! My good friend from high school got me in contact with her friend who was getting married in Asheville in September. It was a great experience!! I took a lot of pics so I'm going to break it up into sections, starting with the bride & groom pics. Special thanks to my husband for being my second shooter--he got some great shots!

Ben and Kim met at UNC Asheville so we took photos there! It was rainy but they were good sports, and it was fun to shoot somewhere so special to them. They are so comfortable with each other and you could tell how much love and respect one has for the other. They also had the most unique and fun wedding I've ever been to!
